What brought you to Celina Police Department?

I am originally from the Grayson/Fannin County area. Celina PD Lieutenant Hale actually talked me in to coming to Celina. It was the best decision I have made in my career.

What prompted you to be a law enforcement officer?

I saw it as a fun and exciting job where I wouldn’t be tied down to the same mundane tasks every day. As a police officer, every day brings something new to do.

It’s lunch time in Celina, and you haven’t eaten. What’s on the menu?

Jimbo’s – pizza and wings!

If you had to describe Celina in one sentence, what would you say?

An awesome place to work.

What’s the most memorable moment for you while on patrol?

I’ve experienced a lot in my 10 years of law enforcement so It’s hard to pick just one thing. One call I can clearly remember – I went to a party call one night and met a teen that had something she shouldn’t have had. She pleaded with me and told me this one mistake would ruin her future career choice. Instead of taking her to jail, I had her write me an essay on how she was going to change her life and make better choices. I’m proud to say that she joined the Air Force and still maintains contact with me on her career advancement.

Your go-to coffee order is…

Yuck. Bang Energy – Birthday Cake Bash or C4 Skittles flavor!

What does a typical day off look like for you?

Well, there’s a ton of stuff I would like to do, but unfortunately I’m stuck doing homework and trying to save money. We are in living in some tough times.

What are you most looking forward to in your time with Celina?

I’m looking forward to building our new Police Explorer program and being a part of it for years to come. I’m also looking forward to moving into our new Police Department building once it’s completed.

Favorite sports team?

Celina Bobcats – duh.

Cowboy hat or baseball cap?

Baseball cap.

Do you have a mentor or someone you look up to?

I would have to say my step-dad. He’s a positive role model and I can always go to him whenever I need advice.

They’re making a movie about your life. Who is the star that plays YOU?

John Krasinski or Pablo Schreiber.
