Operation Cowboy Hat

The Cowboy Hat is a symbol of not only Texas and its history, but a nod to the beginnings of Celina, Texas. With the support of Police Chief John Cullison, the Foundation set off to raise funds to provide cowboy hats for all uniformed members of the Celina Police Department. Not only are the hats functional and comfortable in the Texas weather, but they're a conversation starter and something that adults and kids alike take notice of. The Foundation's mission is to provide those connections, and by having our officers in Cowboy Hats, we found selfies, photos and so much excitement in our community - which all went back to raising awareness of the partnership between community and police.

The Celina Community Police Foundation was proud to partner with the McKinney Hat Co. to provide cowboy hats for all uniformed officers of Celina Police Department for both hot and cold seasons. We thank the community for its support, and the program is now fully funded through the Police Department's uniform budget.
